In 2 Peter 1:6, Apostle Peter exhorts Christians with the following words "and to knowledge self control: and to self control patience and to patience godliness". I have already discussed self control and I enjoin you to read my post on it. What does patience mean? The word "patience" in the Greek language  is "hupomone" which means  endura nce, steadfastness, patient wait ing for. Apostle Peter is encouraging Christians to practice and display patience in their everyday activities.
