The Hardest Of Jesus's Commandments

Jesus Christ, the greatest man who ever lived, taught alot of things to his disciples and Christians in general.  His teachings are the most important commands that every Christian must obey and follow. Lately the zeal to study and practice the teachings of Jesus Christ has been reignited in my heart because I've come to discover that most Church leaders today have simply ignored(consciously or unconsciously) the teachings of Jesus Christ and have instead chosen to preach doctrines that are subjective, heretical and stereotyped. Therefore my next posts will center Largely on the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the four gospels(matthew, Mark, Luke and John) In the book of St. Matthew 6:25, Jesus Christ gave the following command "So I tell you, don't worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing ?". This command is to me the hardest(humanly speaking) of Christ's teaching...

THE CHRISTIAN GRACES: BROTHERLY KINDNESS AND LOVE

Image
In today's society Christian brotherly kindness i.e love, affection and kindness towards our christian brethren first before we display and give love to unbelievers is slowly eroding away. Many Christians are not empathetic towards to the plight of their brethren and that's what Apostle Peter is trying to discourage when he continues his message on the Christian Graces in 2 Peter 1:7 "to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love ". I love the way the New Living translation relays it, 2 Peter 1:7 " Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone ". These verses are self explanatory. The Godliness we are now practicing and depicting impels us to care for our christian brothers and sisters in Christ first . We are inherently driven to care and show affection for our Christian brethren. Even when we don't feel obliged to be kind or caring to our fellow believers(...

If you had the privilege of interviewing every Christian, asking them about their view of Jesus Christ, their reply would be that he is the son of God which is the truth but If you were to also ask them whether Jesus Christ was always from time immemorial the son of God, their answer would most likely be yes but I'm here to disprove that notion or dogma and reveal a mystery you never knew.  Some months back as I meditated and prayed the Holy Spirit revealed a mystery about Jesus Christ to me.  Let's closely examine with these Bible verses before I continue which are Romans 1: 4 which says " And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit ", Revelation 13:8 which says "And all the people who belong to t...

THE CHRISTIAN GRACES : PATIENCE AND GODLINESS

Image
Please subscribe, comment and share this post because you might be winning a soul for Christ by doing so. In 2 Peter 1:6, Apostle Peter exhorts Christians with the following words "and to knowledge self control: and to self control patience and to patience godliness". I have already discussed self control and I enjoin you to read my post on it. What does patience mean? The word "patience" in the Greek language  is "hupomone" which means  endura nce, steadfastness, patient wait ing for. Apostle Peter is encouraging Christians to practice and display patience in their everyday activities. I must confess this to every reader of this pos t: Patience is one of the most important virtues a Christian must possess if he/she wants to lead a successful Christian life, a life that is well pleasing to Jehovah Elohim who bought us fr om sin and sometimes displaying patien ce in the face of adversity is an arduou s task . Many Christians have fallen int o diverse t...
