The Veracious and Accurate Truth About Tithing The Biblical Truth About Tithing When a certain bishop in my country, whom I admire, gave his input about Tithing, it left a sour taste in my mouth because I believe he’s a Bible scholar and as such should have presented a more extensive and accurate interpretation on such a sensitive issue. I want to also reiterate that I have no personal grouse against tithing. I just want the truth to be espoused. In order for us to understand the purpose for the legal creation of tithes by God, we’ll have to turn to the book of Numbers. The reason I used the term “legal creation” is because of the following reasons: 1: The ancient Israelites operated a system of government known as Theocracy.
