Welcome to another discuss on my blog THE TRUTH. Today we are going to discuss another interesting topic on THE TRUTH  which is based on a powerful statement Jesus Christ made when speaking to the Israelites while on earth. Today's discuss will not be as lengthy as  my other posts but I know it will be an eye-opener. Before we continue I would like us to pray to the Holy Spirit for enlightenment as we begin today's discuss (pray for some few seconds). God bless you for your obedience.

Now I know that we began a series on SIN which I have not finished but don't worry I will endeavor we finish it this week. Later I will be continuing the series on SIN so I will be expecting your comments and views after I publish today's topic.

Today we will discussing the topic "I EAT JESUS CHRIST, SPIRITUAL CANNIBAL, THE MYSTERY ABOUT THE HOLY COMMUNION)" . I know and pray as you read this post and invite your friends to this blog YOUR HEARTS NEEDS MUST BE ANSWERED IN JESUS NAME. AMEN. Let's turn our bible to the book of John 6:44-58. By the way  here are some few facts about John the apostle.

1. He was also known as the elder. ( 2 John 1:1).
2. He was also known as the beloved disciple because he was the disciple Jesus was most fond of. ( John 13:21-25). This also can be seen in his epistles in which LOVE is his central theme.
3. He was the only disciple of Jesus who died in his old age i.e he was not martyred as Jesus had prophesied that he would not die as a martyr. ( John 21: 21-24).
4. His brother James was the first disciple of Jesus Christ to be killed or martyred. ( Acts 12:1-2).
5. Tradition says he was put into a cauldron of boiling oil but miraculously survived and was not harmed before he was banished to the Island of Patmos because of the gospel of Christ. ( Revelation 1:9). That's why it's painful to see christians who joke or play with the bible or the gospel because  the price paid for us to have a pain free gospel was very costly. The early church fathers paid with their very lives. 

From our bible text we can see Jesus talking to the Israelites and revealing some spiritual mysteries to them and they as usual are blind to see ( this is applicable to many christians today who are also blind to many spiritual truths because they see  things through their physical eyes only instead of using their innerman's eyes in the power of the Holy Spirit to see).  Now on my last post on this blog I gave five guidelines on how to read the bible for a better understanding and I suggest you read them to have a clearer understanding of this bible text. (I have arranged my posts in such a way to make it easier to read. I arranged the posts on my blog with the most recent posts on top and you can just click on any post you want to read. Please if you want me to make any changes, so this blog can be better feel free to post your comments on my blog.)

So Jesus is talking to the Israelites and He makes a powerful statement which even if some of you might have some understanding on, this new revelation from Jesus's statement will amaze you. Before I reveal what the Holy Spirit taught me I want us to begin a detailed analysis into Jesus's statements in our bible text. Let's start analyzing Jesus statement from verse 44-46. In this two verses Jesus points out again to the unbelieving jews that He is the messiah and that God is the one responsible solely for drawing people to Himself (so when we go out for evangelism and convert souls to Christ, God (Elohim) is actually responsible for the conversion, we are just the tools for service). Now from verse 47 downwards is where the THE TRUTH (revelation) is and I pray you will see it too. In verse 47 Jesus says that whoever believes in Him has everlasting life.

Question: when did we as christians receive eternal life?

Answer: the day we gave our lives to christ. The day we got born again. That was the day we believed in Jesus. That's why Romans 10:9 says we must confess with our mouth Jesus and believe in Him in our heart (mind, innerman) to receive salvation (eternal life, freedom from spiritual death, just as John 3:16 says). 

In verse 48 Jesus  reveals a powerful mystery when He says He is the bread of life. This is powerful so I want you to note this as we proceed. In the next verse Jesus says that their fathers ate manna, Exodus16:14-15 ( which was a spiritual antitype of Jesus. It came from heaven and it came when the Israelites were dying of hunger. Now remember every act in the old convenant was a type and shadow of what God was planning to do in our new convenant. Please note this) and died because they ate it to feed their physical bodies which would grow old and die. In verse 50-51, Jesus says he is the living bread that came from heaven ( this indicates that as christians , before we became born again we (our spirits or innerman) were starving and dead spiritually because of the state of spiritual hunger and starvation he (our spirit man) had been. Now in verse 53 Jesus makes another powerful statement to the unbelieving jews and to every unbeliever as well. He says, whoever does not eat his flesh and drink his blood has no life (meaning such persons are spiritually starving and they become spiritually dead as a result, they are living zombies). Now in verse 54 Jesus reaffirms his statement by saying " whoever  eats my (jesus's flesh) flesh and drinks his blood has eternal and I will raise him up at the last day".

Question: when did we as christians eat Jesus flesh and drink his blood?

Answer: the day we became born again, that's the day we received eternal life and that's the day our spiritual man (remember I defined man as a spirit living in a body and having a soul,) was spiritually filled from his\her hunger ( "the lack of the life giving Spirit of his creator and lack of knowledge of his creator" is my definition of spiritual hunger).

Here is what the Holy Spirit revealed to me because  when we become born again, something significant happens. From the above verses that we read, Jesus Christ  said that He is the bread of life given by God to mankind to save us from our spiritual hunger and death just as God gave manna to the Israelites in the wilderness which they ate and became filled and died later but Jesus is our spiritual manna. When we become born again, we eat Jesus (our spiritual bread and manna) and drink his blood which cleanses us and purifies us to make us acceptable to our father and creator (JEHOVAH). Also the moment we confessed Him as our lord and saviour and we also received eternal life that moment BUT WE MUST CONTINUE EATING THIS BREAD (HIS WORD WHICH IS ALSO JESUS) SO WE CAN LIVE IN HIM (I.E SO THAT WE CAN BE CONSTANTLY RENEWED TILL WE ATTAIN SPIRITUAL PERFECTION OR MATURITY AND EVEN WHEN WE ATTAIN PERFECTION WE MUST ABIDE IN CHRIST BECAUSE HE IS OUR SOURCE AND LIFE (JOHN 6:57). So when we become born again our spiritual man eats the word (Christ, who is also the word and bible) so that he can live, our spiritual man eats it for the first time when he becomes born again because before that time he was spiritually starving and dead. 

Our spiritual man drinks the blood of Christ for the first time when he becomes born again because he has been dirty, impure and filthy until he becomes born again and drinks the blood of Jesus and becomes sanctified and cleansed. Anyone who has not accepted Jesus into his/her life is both spiritually starving, dead and  filthy no matter how good that person might be. This explains the significance of the holy communion, where we break and eat bread and drink wine (or malt), which we do in obedience to the commandment of Jesus. The holy communion represents what Jesus did for us when we he came into this world and died for us. When we eat the holy communion it doesn't mean we are eating Christ's body and drinking his blood (we already did that when we gave our lives to Christ and became reborn). The holy communion is a remembrance of what happened to us spiritually (we ate his body and drank his blood) when we became bornagain and also we are remembering and thanking him for dying for us and it's a command we must obey. Luke 22:17-20.
