Welcome to another discuss on my blog. I know that today's topic will be very enlightening and interesting because it will reveal so many mysteries about God's kingdom you probably never knew. In today's post we will be having a discuss on a topic called the "marked ones" but before we continue let's pray to the Holy Spirit for complete guidance and understanding as we delve into today's topic. Please ensure you pray. God bless you as you comply and even if you are not a christian, please also pray.
Let's turn our bibles to the book of Ezekiel 9:1-11. Please read it slowly, meditatively and carefully. In the bible text we just read now, in verse 3-4 , we see the Almighty Jehovah God giving instructions to one of His angels to go and mark some of the men who had protested against the immense and unequalled sins that had overtaken Jerusalem.
In verse 4, God commands " go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who sigh and groan about all the disgusting things that are being done in the city". Also lets turn our bibles to the book of Ephesians 1: 13 which says "you heard and believed the message of the truth, the good news that he has saved you. In him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised".
Now that we have read these two powerful verses lets get down to their explanations because their interpretation is essential to every christians and even to non-christians who will later today become christians in Jesus name.
In the first bible text we read we see God instructing His angel to mark those who had protested against the atrocities and sexual perversion that were ongoing in the city of Jerusalem.
Now remember the Israelites had already been captured and sent into slavery by king Nebuchadnezar because of their sins, perverse sexual acts, idolatories, their killing of the prophets God had sent to warn them and their continous rebellion and disobedience to Jehovah God but the remnants who had not been carried into slavery but had been left behind because they were very poor, physically handicapped or too young etc had also continued in the perverse acts of the other Israelites who had earlier been carried into slavery and God became very angry with their rebellion and had asked His angel to mark those who had protested the sins and perversions committed by those remnants. Only these marked ones would be spared from the coming destruction.
In our second bible text, Apostle Paul is telling us that for those of who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and savior and believe in Him we have been sealed by the incoming and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us. In Apostle Paul's time logs of wood that had been cut and stored before the owners would come and claim them had to be sealed so that they would been easily identifiable by their owners when they came to claim them. So Apostle Paul is telling us that for those of us that believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God and have accepted him as Lord and master we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit so that when Jesus Christ returns very soon we christians will be claimed by our owner who is God. That's why I plead with anyone reading this post now to become born again now. Jesus Christ is coming back soon and He is coming for those who have accepted and believed and have made Him Lord of their lives.
In our first bible text we read in the book of Ezekiel, we see God marking those who had stood against the atrocities that had been ongoing in Jerusalem and these men were saved from the destruction that came upon Jerusalem. From this we can deduce that as christians we must ensure that wherever we find ourselves, we must speak the truth and speak against any form of rebellion, atrocity, perverse sin and idolatory done by men against God. God detest sins and idolatory and will punish any form of rebellion done against him but those who protest such atrocties committed, will gain a special favour with God.
Remember the Israelites were God's chosen people yet He still punished them for their continuous sins, idolatories and rebellion so in our own times if we continue to live in our sins even as christians who know the truth, God will not spare us if we do not repent from our sins and rebellion against Him, 1 Peter 4:17-18, Hebrews 10:26-31.
In these end times where sexual perversions, sins, hatred, crimes, idolatories, unbelief, rebellion against God, false doctrines and all form of sins have peaked and are still peaking we as believers need to speak out against such atrocities whenever we have the opportunity to speak. Don't misunderstand me. I am not advocating that we should use violence to enforce the truth but we should never be silent when faced with injustice.
We should never be mute to any form of sin or false doctrine that is ongoing around us. We should speak against such sins passively and with love correcting those who are being led astray by the antics of the devil, praying and hoping that God will change them. Remember God loves those who speak for the truth(Jesus Christ) and who speak against any form of sin, false doctrine and injustice.This will spare us from any destruction that will come upon those people who are sinful and rebellious against God and engage in any form of sexual perversion.
