A video that shares some spiritual truths about the coming of Jesus Christ and being born again is included in this post.

Welcome to another lovely time on my blog THE TRUTH. It's been a long time since I published any post and am really sorry for that. The delay was due to some technical faults which have been resolved. I hope you have not been disappointed and displeased by the delay. I'm really sorry.
Today's discuss will be about one of the most undiscussed and important topics of our christian faith and i'm sure that as you read today's post you will be enlightened and your inner man will be refreshed in Jesus name. Our bible text is taken from the book of 2 Peter 1:1-12.
Please I would love if you can read this bible text meditatively and thoroughly because this particular bible text is so important to our christian growth but before we continue let's pray to the Holy Spirit for spiritual insights and guidance. Please you can pray for some few seconds and minutes. Thanks for your compliance.
Before we continue I want to give a brief summary on the author of this book, it's recipients and the purpose for the book. 1 and 2 Peter were written by the Apostle Peter, one of Jesus Christ's closest disciples. He was the brother of Andrew who had led him to Jesus Christ. The book of 2 Peter(and even 1 Peter) is one of the most debated books of the bible and the last to be added to the books of the new testament. Apostle Peter's authorship of the book has lately been questioned by modern scholars but internal sources and early church sources ascribe authorship to Apostle Peter.
Apostle Peter wrote this special book very close to his matyrdom(verses 13 and 14) and so you must understand that what he wrote would have been very important to him. Apostle Peter was writing this book to gentile christians(the same recipients of 1 Peter, 2 Peter3:1) who were living among their pagan families, relatives and friends and so writing this book shortly before his death must have been of utmost importance to him and so without wasting any more time let's delve into today's discuss.

What are the Christian Graces? The christian graces are beautiful virtues, moral and christian codes and guidelines that every christian must practice and depict in their lives. They are found in verses 5-7 and from today we will discuss these graces post by post. In verse 1 of the bible text we see Apostle Peter(one of the greatest missionaries of all time) describing the gentile christians he was writing to as "those who have obtained like precious faith with us"(the original twelve apostles who had seen Jesus Christ in flesh). Isn't that awesome? A baby or new christian and a leader of a mega church possess the same faith. In God's eye they are heirs of the same inheritance. From verses two to four he prays that grace and peace be multiplied to them through their knowledge of God and Jesus Christ. This teaches us that the level of grace and peace we receive from God is greatly dependent on the corresponding knowledge we possess of God. This tells us the importance of constant bible study and meditation. Apostle Peter goes on to tell us that all that we will need to enjoy and be successful in all ramifications of life is also dependent on our knowledge of God. As christians we must endeavour to to grow in God's knowledge by walking completely with the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
From verses 5-7 Apostle Peter tells them and us that because we have become partakers of the promise and have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust and because we are now citizens of heaven renewed in the spirit we must give all diligence or we must make every effort to add to our faith integrity. Please did you get that revelation?  Apostle Peter is telling us that we must make every effort(our efforts in the power of the Holy Spirit) to add to our faith integrity(virtue).
This also tells us that as christians faith became inherent in us the day we became born again. It's wrong for a christian to pray to God to give him/her faith. We can pray for a stronger and increasing faith but we must know that as christians we all possess faith. It's in our gene. In fact faith caused us to become born again. He is also telling us that it's our duty as christians to add to our faith these graces because we have become partakers of God's divine nature. We have His Holy Spirit in us.
Apostle Peter is telling us that we must add integrity to our inherent faith. Even though your bible version might use moral excellence or virtue in place of integrity we must understand that they are all synonymous to each other.
Integrity in the original word means goodness, uprightness or a virtue that is displayed to enrich life. I love this in depth meaning. As christians our lives must enrich others. Anyone who claims to be a christian(a child of the Holy God) and still engages in dubious activities should question his/her stance in Christ and change. Such christians bring disrepute to the christian way.The world must see us as upright individuals in our businesses, homes, offices, schools, churches and whatever institution we are involved with. Just as Apostle Peter was telling the christians in his day(who were living amongst pagans or unbelievers) to live with integrity, he is also telling us modern day christians to be upright and enriching in our interactions with others. It's so saddening to see christians today act, live and behave like the corrupt people of this world. It shows that they disregard bible teachings. THERE HAS TO BE A MARKED DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US AND UNBELIEVERS. OUR LIVES MUST BE ENRICHING TO OTHERS. A christian must not practice cheating, bribery, theft, money laundering, sexual immorality or any other vices that will bring our christian faith to shame.

In conclusion, we must be aware that God wants us to display these grace called integrity because He has given us the grace to practice it and if you know that integrity is lacking in you as a christian you must ask the Holy Spirit in humility to help and He will.
If you have been blessed by today's post or any other christian topic discussed in this blog you can contact me through my details given in my "contact page". God bless you for reading and i'm waiting for you in my next post.
Please if you are not born again christian and wish to be, you must say these words with your mouth and believe them in your heart: Lord Jesus Christ I accept you today as my Lord and savior. I believe that you died for my sins and arose on the third day and you are seated in heaven as the son of God. Thank you Jesus Christ for saving me from death. Amen.
