Welcome to another post on my blog THE TRUTH. My friends before we begin today's discuss i want you all to be aware of the three major means the devil uses to trap and hurt people. The devil uses deceit, fear and accusations to fustrate, oppress and manipulate Christians. These are his three main methods for frustrating and oppressing Christians. As Christians we must not be ignorant of his devices.I hope you have been blessed by the studying and meditation of the teachings given on this blog. Please I really appreciate your views but so far even though I am grateful your views (which have been awesome.God bless you) I also want your comments and testimonies gotten from this blog. Your comments and constructive criticisms will be really encouraging and are welcomed. Before we continue our last discuss which was on "sin",
I want us to discuss a very entertaining and revealing topic of the mystery of the kingdom of God my father and your father if you are a christian. Please if you are not born again, become born again now by saying and believing the words written in the last section of this post and become a child of Jesus Christ.
Today we will be discussing a very interesting and important topic that most preachers rarely talk about in our christian faith which is titled "Satan the copycat, occultic and mystical practices". We will be discussing the facts behind many occultic practices carried out by the children of Satan and revealing the truth behind them: the truth being that satan copied many or even all of these mystical practices from the mysteries he got from his time with God in heaven. So without wasting any more time lets turn our bibles to the book of Jeremiah 51:60-64 and the book of Ezekiel 5:1-4. Please read it slowly and meditatively and pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance as you do so. Now from our bible texts we can see that both narratives are very similar to one another.
In the book of Jeremiah 51:60-64, we see Jehovah God instructing Seraiah to go to Babylon( the area where modern Iraq is located) and commands him to read and proclaim some words that God had commanded him to say (61-62) to the inhabitants of Babylon and (please note what God instructs him to do after he finishes reading) when he has finished reading and proclaiming God's command he should tie the book to a stone and throw it out into the River Euphrates( the second major river of ancient Babylon and it can found in Iraq today). As you read this bible text, doesn't this sound familiar to you? You might be wondering how it seems familiar so let me juggle your memory.
When we watch some of these occultic movies and songs( which I do not approve of people to do) we see something very similar to what was described in our bible text (my Africans readers can attest to this). Let me give an example to illustrate my point; For example in some African movies, we see a woman who is a witch and hates her neighbour perhaps for stealing her money, takes her neighbour's picture, tie it to a stone, says some incantations on it and throw it into a nearby river. So long as that stone is not discovered or unseen whatever evil word the witch proclaims on it begins to occur in the life of her neighbour.
I am sure you now realize what am getting at. So as long as that book tied to the stone remains in the sea Babylon will fall and never rise again. Has that happened? Well, yes it has because after Babylon was conquered by the persians under king Cyrus, Babylon ceased to exist as a nation. Now imagine someone had searched for that stone in the Euphrates river and had found it(which is highly impossible) Babylon might have still been in existence today. I am sure that you now get my point. Also, please note what Prophet Jeremiah(speaking under the influence of God) told Seraiah to do when he got to Babylon- Prophet Jeremiah told him that as soon as he threw the tied book into the river Euphrates he should proclaim that "Babylon will sink and not rise from the catastrophe that God will bring on her. And they shall be weary". Isn't that similar to what all to all these occultic and mystical people do when they perform their ritual acts. They proclaim negative words over the person or situation they are cursing, influencing, destroying etc.
Let's go our second bible text, Ezekiel 5:1-4. In this bible text we see God again instructing prophet Ezekiel,the priest, to shave his beard and hair with a sword (not even with a razor) and weigh and divide them and then he should burn one third in the midst of the city, strike another one third of his hair with his sword, and scatter another one third into the wind. God now goes on to tell prophet Ezekiel the implications of his actions by saying that the Israelites will killed by the sword, scatter abroad and destroyed by fire. Please note that God was punishing the Israelites for their severe idolatous practices e.g they practiced the customs of their neighbouring countries by burning their children alive to idols, crossing fire, bowing to idols, murdering the prophets God had sent to warn them etc.
God had been very patient with them hoping they would repent and change but they were obstinate and even grew worse until God punished them (Please read 2 kings 21:1-26). This is similar to our present age in which there is so much evil and sin but more grace.Why? because God wants everyone to repent and love Him and avoid hell and His wrath on sinners and unbelievers who still remain obstinate. (2 Peter 3:8-9). Please note that on judgement day there will be no excuses or reasons for whatsoever punishments anyone will receive for his/her sins and unbelief. I preach to some unbelievers and they tell me that "how can a loving God send people to hell fire and eternal damnation?". I tell them that God did not create hell fire for humans but for the devil and his angels but that does not change the fact that any unbelieving human who has heard the gracious gospel of Christ and still refuses to accept Jesus has sent himself/herself to hell fire and eternal damnation including christians who live continuously and deliberately in sins. (Please I am not referring to christians who are still growing in the knowledge of God and still make mistakes. I am talking of christians who have come into the knowledge of the truth and still continue to live deliberately and continuously in sin and I will be discussing this in my next post).

Going back to our discuss we can see God commanding his servants to perform some acts that might be termed traditionalistic or even occultic( for example God told prophet Isaiah to work naked for three years signifying how disgraced the Egpytians and Ethiopians would be for three years, also God killed prophet Ezekiel's wife and told him not to weep or mourn her death signifying that the Israelites would suffer the death of their loved ones but they would be terrified and sad to mourn the death; Ezekiel 24:15-23).
Please the above examples does not indicate that God is wicked. God forbid that. God is God and anything He does is good because He created all things and has reasons for His actions, Romans 9: 11-33. Also, I want us to know that the devil (ariel, thats his real name and not Lucifer) was with God for billions or more years and so had access and knowledge to many of the mysteries of God and his powers. He knew many things about God that most of us christians don't even know and when he became proud, unrepentant and rebellious he was driven down to earth with one third of God's rebellious angels but his powers and the knowledge he possessed were not taken from him.
So satan came to earth with his powers, knowledge and mystical practices he learnt with his time with God and he has modified them to suit his diabolical plans for mankind and especially for unbelievers and it is this same powers and knowledge the devil gives to his followers to cause havoc, death and all form of atrocities among humans. God no longer uses such methods to punish people nor does he practice them because we are under the promised new covenant so such practices should not be seen among christians.
The purpose for today's discuss is to bring our consciousness to the fact that the devil never created or originated any of these act or practices. He is a copycat and an impostor who only wants to be like God but has always failed because he is not Elohim(creator). Every occultic act you see the devil and his followers practicing were gotten from the knowledge and mysteries satan got from his time with God and God has discarded all of these ancient and old testament ritual like acts. For example, we hear stories especially in African countries, of people killing others for money and for other occultic acts and I want you to know that this is a spiritual principle God put in place. The blood of a living thing usually serves as a remission or payment for anything we want that's why Jesus also had to pay the ultimate price with his life(please God has discarded and stopped all these acts because we are in a new covenant such acts should never be found among christians). So when you see a traditional medicine man, a voodoist, a palm reader, an occultic person or any follower of satan performing their evil acts know that all they are doing are mysteries that the devil got from God and revealed to them for his diabolical schemes.
We as christians should never be scared of them but that doesn't mean we should confront them but rather we should pray to God to save them from the destruction awaiting them (but if they confront or threaten you report them to God and watch as He will punish them).
You will also notice that I use the word "ELOHIM" to describe Jehovah God alot and there is a reason for that and the reason is that that is the unique quality that separates God from the devil, the creative ability that is inherent in only God. God can create anything. He is omnipotent. God created the heavens, earth, spirits, souls, angels, the angels who made themselves demons, and the entire universe but the devil cannot and will never create spirits, angels, souls, humans or anything because that creative ability is not in him. Simply put,"he is not Jehovah Elohim". This also should give every christians the boldness that the devil is powerless in our lives and has been defeated. The devil is a loser and will always be a loser. Christians should never be afraid of the devil because Jehovah Elohim lives in us. We are his temple, His dwelling place because of the finished works of Jesus Christ( 2 Timothy 1:7). I want every christian to know the following as we conclude today's discuss:
- We as christians are not in a battle with the devil. We are only fighting to keep our faith in God. The devil knows this thats why he causes challenges to come to us so as to destroy our faith in God.
- God is not in a battle with the devil and will never be in a battle with the devil. Can you imagine a seven foot man fight a single ant? Isn't that unfair? That is an inaccurate example of how small the devil is to Jehovah God. Inaccurate because no one can phantom God's power. The devil is scared of every christian and that is why he will do everything possible to distract us. He uses wordly music, sex, movies(I am not saying watching a good, entertaining movie is bad but what I am saying is that we should have adequate time for God), worldly friends, our love for money(want money and ask God to bless you but never love money) etc. to distract, disable and make us ignorant of our rights and roles in God's kingdom. That is why this blog was created; so that christians would know their rights and roles in God's kingdom. Every christian is entitled to good health, success, agape love, prosperity and every blessing God has for us. Claim yours now in faith and see it work in your life. Spend time with God, pray always, read your bible always, preach the word and live by faith. As you do this always you immerse yourself more in God and further out of the reach of the devil. Glory to Christ.
- The devil is just a copy cat and an impostor just as we have discussed.
- The devil is fighting a lost battle. Whatever challenge we are facing as christians, I want us to know this; we are fighting a victorious fight of faith. God is waiting for us on the other side of victory because He has equipped us to get there. He has equipped us with the Holy Spirit and the host on heaven on our side. Activate them now and claim your victory today over every challenge you are facing now. Colossians 2:14-15, Ephesians 2:6. Romans 8:37, 1 John 2:14.
