Welcome to today's post on my blog THE TRUTH. Today's topic is a continuation of last post. We started the discuss on SIN and in my last post we gave the most appropriate definition of sin. We also talked about the beginning of sin and we also discussed how God started the process of reconcilation. We also revealed some spiritual mysteries about the sacrifice of Cain and Cain himself. I suggest that you read my last post to have a better understanding of our discuss for today.
 Today we will delve straight into the law, Moses and the old convenant which basically are synonymous to one another. The reasons I am going straight into the old convenant include the following;

Moses was a antitype of Jesus.

The old convenant is also an antitype of our new convenant.

God used the old convenant to usher our new convenant.

 So let's delve into today's discuss but before we continue let's pray to the Holy Spirit for the enlightenment of our inner man (please pray ).
  Now let's delve into today's topic. Now in our last post we discussed about Abel and how God wanted to use him to start the process of reconcilation but Satan knew this and made Cain to kill Abel. He thought that that would end the process of reconcilation but because satan is a failure and will always remain a failure, God started the process with Seth (please note this; the process of reconcilation also involved the lineage from which Jesus was going to come from). So God, the all knowing God, began the process through Seth and through Noah and finally to Abraham.
  God did not call Abraham out of his father's house because God wanted to bless Abraham alone, God had a predetermined plan before He called Abraham. Remember Abraham was a descendant of Noah and Seth and we have already discussed that God had started the process of reconcilation with Seth, so Abraham found favour with God because out of everyone in his father's house God chose him as an ancestor of Jesus his creator.

  But before we continue let me give you a brief history of Abraham.Abraham was from Ur of the Chaldeans. The chaldeans later became known as the babylonians who later conquered the children of Israel. Babylonia or Ur of the Chaldeans is where modern day Iraq is located. The Sumerians who were the first major tribe of mesopotamia which later became Chaldea, were conquered by the Assyrians before they became a world power under king Nebucadnezzer ( his name means Nebu be praised ) before they were conquered by the Persian kingdom under king Cyrus. 

The chaldeans were famous for their practice of astrology and astronomy and were idol worshippers. They were the foremost people in astrology and astronomy in the ancient world. So from this brief background of Abraham's native country we can see that Abraham was from an idolatious society and must have been an idol worshipper while growing up in his father house and that's why God had to call him from his father's house and people. This also goes to show that the favour of God can sometimes locate anyone even unbelievers. This act from God was also a sign to show what God had in plan for mankind( remember the bible said while we were still sinners or unbelievers Christ died for us) therefore this act of (choosing someone from an idolatous family as an ancestor for Jesus) God showed the kind of plan had for mankind. 

Remember we said that in every story in the bible we see Jesus, the bible is always  speaking about Jesus and His purpose for mankind ( by the way, Abram means father while his wife's name Sarai means princess, so we can see that names have spiritual significance in our lives). 
Now remember God told Abram that through him the whole would be blessed (Genesis 18:18). What God was saying here is that through his lineage Jesus would come and reconcile the world to God. We will stop here for today.
